Little High Eatery is unique in Christchurch; its diverse and considered decor sets it apart from other dining options.

The challenge for Kirkcaldie was to create a space to cater for eight distinct vendors framing a communal indoor and outdoor seating area for up to 250 people.

Atmosphere was paramount in the design process and Kirkcaldie worked with layers of colour to achieve a vibrant and eclectic interior. Materials such as wood, recycled brick, brass, leather and porcelain tiles are paired with distinctive feature lighting to create a warm, inviting atmosphere.

In this bustling environment, getting the acoustics right was critical to the success of the design and this was achieved by lining the ceiling with black acoustic panelling. The overall effect is a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere – customers can’t put their finger on why they feel so good when they dine at Little High.
